Fulton, Mo. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team defeated Bethel College 7-0 Friday afternoon. The win moves the Owls to 4-0 this season.
The Owls took the doubles point, winning at No. 1.
Zlata Shuraeva and
Ana Zavala took a 6-0 victory over Halle Krehbiel and Nalea Payton. They won at No. 2 and No. 3 by default.
Hannah Meyer defeated Krehbiel, 3-6, 6-4, 10-6, in No. 1 singles.
Ashley Firoved earned a 6-2, 7-6(4) over Payton, in No. 2 singles.
The Owls won at No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 by default.
The No. 6 Owls return to action at home tomorrow Mar. 6, versus John Brown University (Ark.) at 10 a.m. and against McPherson College at 3:30 p.m.
