Box Score 2 FULTON, Mo. – The no. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team moved to 6-0 on the season with two 7-0 sweeps over John Brown University and McPherson College.
The Owls next play two matches at Southeast Missouri State University on Monday, March 8. The first match begins at 12 p.m.
William Woods vs. John Brown, 7-0
The Owls grabbed the doubles point after sweeping doubles play.
Zlata Shuraeva and
Ana Zavala won in the no. one spot, 6-2.
Hannah Meyer and Rukshika Wijesooryia finished with a 6-1 win in the no. two spot, and
Marta Calvo Larraz and
Mireia Jordan swept their opponent 6-0 in the no. three spot.
Zavala finished first in singles with two 6-0 wins in the no. two slot. Calvo Larraz ended next with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the no. three spot. Wijesooriya finished third with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the no. four spot. Shuraeva ended fourth with a 6-1, 6-1 win. M. Jordan and
Ariadna Jordan closed out the singles play with 6-0, 6-0 wins in the no. five and no. six spots, respectively.

Meyer and Wijesooryia finished first in doubles with a 6-1 win in the no. two spot. Calvo Larraz and M. Jordan solidified the Owls' double point with a 6-3 win in the no. three spot, and Shuraeva and Zavala closed out doubles with a 6-4 win in the no. one spot.
The Owls went on to sweep singles play.
Zavala finished first with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the no. two spot. Wijesooryia finished next with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the no. four spot. A. Jordan in the six hole grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 win, and Shuraeva followed up with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the one spot. M. Jordan finished fifth with a 6-3, 6-1 win, and Calvo Larraz completed the Owls' sweep with a 7-5, 6-3 win in the no. three spot.
