CAPE GIRDARDEAU, Mo. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State University Monday afternoon, earning their first losses of the season. The Owls grabbed one point in set one to fall 6-1 before being swept 7-0 in set two.
The team is now 6-2 on the season.

Ana Zavala won the no. one doubles point with a 7-5 victory, but SEMO grabbed the doubles point as they took a win in the no. two and no. three doubles.
Ariadna Jordan won the Owls' lone point in the no. six spot, 6-1, 6-2.
SEMO went on to win all nine points in the second match, grabbing a clean 7-0 win over the Owls.
The Owls are back at it on Saturday, March 13, with a home match versus RV Southwestern College (Kan.).
