KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The William Woods University women's tennis team swept all three teams faced in the Heart of America / American Midwest Conference / Sooner Championship to easily win the their fifth consecutive championship. The Owls earned the automatic bid with the finals win over Missouri Valley. 

Earlier in the day, the Owls shut out Grand View 4-0 in the semifinals. The Owls defeated Health Sciences and Pharmacy in the quarterfinals yesterday, 4-0.

The Owls will head to their fifth NAIA National Championship on May 18-22 in Mobile, Ala.

In the Semifinals, the Owls won the doubles point after winning at no. 2 and no. 3 courts. In singles, the Owls won at no. 3, no. 4, and no. 6 courts clinching their spot into the finals.
