Box Score NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - The No. 20 William Woods University men's tennis team upset No. 15 Grace College 4-0 in the second day of the NAIA Indoor National Invitational this afternoon.
The Owls were able to take the doubles point winning all three matches at No. 1 and No. 3 courts.
In No. 1 doubles,
Vitek Subert and
Nathan Cooke earned a 6-1 win over Ramiro Candia and Fabricio Galvan.
Robert Schorr and
Vaclav Schneider defeated Francisco Margaria and Pablo Gregori at No. 3 doubles, 6-1.
In No. 3 singles,
Ben Grumley took a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Candia. Competing in No. 4 singles, Subert defeated Gregori 6-4, 6-0. In No. 5 singles, Schorr won over Galvan 6-1, 6-2.
Nathan Cooke grabbed a win over Margaria 6-3, 6-1.
The No. 20 Owls get back on the court tomorrow on Jan. 29, at 8 a.m. vs. No. 17 Montreat College (N.C.) in the final day of the NAIA Indoor National Invitational.
