Box Score NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The No. 20 William Woods University men's tennis team fell to No. 17 Montreat College 4-2 this Saturday morning, concluding their participation at the NAIA Indoor National Invitational. The loss drops the Owls to 1-2 on the season.
The Owls will travel next to NCAA Division II opponent, Washburn University, on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m.
The team was unable to take the doubles point, as they fell at No. 1 and No. 2 courts, but were successful at No. 3 court.
In No. 3 doubles,
Robert Schorr and
Vaclav Schneider defeated Ryan Little and Anour Braham 6-4.
In singles, Schneider earned his first win of the season at the No. 2 spot over Adam Nagoudi 7-5, 7-5. Nathan Cook defeated Nicolas Lopez 7-5, 6-3, in the no. 6 spot.
