FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University Athletic Department prides itself in success not only on the field, but off the field too, as the student-athletes had another outstanding semester in the classroom.
The Owls posted a 3.27 GPA for the fall semester, marking the 22
nd consecutive semester above a 3.0 and the 13
th consecutive semester above a 3.2 GPA mark.
"I'm very proud our student-athletes on another impressive semester," stated Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Jason Vittone. "They continue to set the bar high by being successful both in the classroom and on the playing fields. It's a great day to be an Owl."
Women's tennis led the department with an impressive 3.8256 GPA. The Owls had 14 of the Owls' 18 sports finished above the 3.0 mark.
The Owls had 62 student-athletes achieve a 4.0 GPA, and 61.89% of the student-athletes finished above the student-body GPA average (3.1661).
