Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's tennis team opened the Fall 2022 season with a 5-2 loss to NCAA Division II University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL).
 
The Owls fell in all three doubles, putting them down 1-0 heading into singles play.
 
Lena Greefs and Lilla Komiszar were the two wins for the Owls. Greef was taken into a third set by her opponent. She grabbed a 6-4 win before losing 6-2, but she came back with another 6-4 win to take the match.Komiszar easily defeated her opponent in the six spot, 6-3, 6-1.
 
The Owls will compete in the ITA Regionals in Wichita, Kan. Starting on Sept. 30.
