Men’s Tennis Moves to #6 in NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The William Woods University men's tennis team moved up four spots to sit sixth in the second NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced the national office Wednesday.

This is the highest ranking the Owls have received since midway through the 2018-19 season.

The Owls moved up the four spots after just topping seventh-ranked William Carey. This was the biggest upset the Owls have had in program history. The team was on a 6-0 winning streak before dropping the last two matches to now fifth-ranked Southeastern (Fla.) (was ranked ninth when we played them) and No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett.

The Owls still have seven matches against ranked opponents left on their schedule. The team is finishing up their spring break trip and will host the William Woods Invite in North Kansas City, MO over the weekend.
