LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 10 William Woods University men's tennis team went 3-2 at the Georgia Gwinnett Invite over the week. The Owls opened the four-day, five match invite with a dominating win over No. 7 William Carey – their best win in program history to date. All five matches played were against ranked opponents with four being in the top nine.
The Owls improve to 8-3 on the season following their spring break trip.

- This is the highest ranked team the Owls have beaten in program history.
- The Owls won the doubles point as the one doubles (Vitek Subert and Vaclav Schneider) and the three doubles (Ben Grumley and Robert Schorr) each won 6-3.
- Vaclav Scneider won 6-2, 6-3 in the one singles to bring the Owls to 2-0.
- Zinovii Nahirniak grabbed a 7-5, 7-5 win in the four singles to bring the match to 3-1.
- Ben Grumley in the threes grabbed the final point for the Owls win, 6-4, 0-6, 6-3.

- Patrick Shelepov won the lone point for the Owls in the five singles.
- Shelepov's win broke the WWU career combined wins record with 103 total wins.
- Andres De Los Rios Kolejewska grabbed the second set from Jose Dugo in the six singles but fell in the tiebreaker.
