Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The (#5) William Woods University men's tennis team grabbed a 5-2 win over NCAA Division II Southwest Baptist University Thursday afternoon. Following the doubles win, graduate Patrick Shelepov broke the WWU career doubles record, becoming the sole owner of all three career records (singles, doubles, combined).
 
The Owls improve to 16-4 on the season with a three-match win streak.
 
 

• Vaclav Schneider and Ben Grumley grabbed a 6-2 win in the one.
• Patrick Shelepov and Zinovii Nahirniak clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win in the two. The win served as Shelepov's 59^th career doubles win, breaking the WWU record.

 
 

• Vaclav Schneider grabbed the first singles win, defeating the one, 6-4, 6-2.
• Ben Grumley put the Owls up 3-0 with a 6-3, 7-5 win in the two.
• SBU cut the match to 3-2 with wins in the three and four singles.
• Andres De Los Rios Kolejewska put the Owls up 4-2 with a 6-4, 7-5 win in the five singles.
• Robert Schorr closed out the match with a 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 win in the six.

 
 

The Owls finish out their regular season on Saturday, April 15, with a 9 a.m. match versus (RV) Missouri Valley College. The team will honor their lone senior at 8:45 a.m.
