Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The (#5) William Woods University men's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with a 4-0 win over (RV) Missouri Valley College. Prior to the match, the Owls honored graduate Patrick Shelepov and graduate assistant Hillary Ncube.
 
With the incoming thunderstorms, the Owls started with singles play and played to clinch. Vaclav Schneider broke the WWU season singles record with 24 and tied the season combined record with 41.
 

• Ben Grumley put the Owls up 1-0 with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the two.
• Vaclav Schneider finished second, winning 6-4, 6-2 in the one.
• Zinovii Nahirniak wrapped up third, putting the Owls up 3-0 with a 6-0, 2-6, 6-0 win.
• Patrick Shelepov won the clinch point with a 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 win in the four.

 
 

The Owls begin postseason play on Wednesday, April 19, at the Unaffiliated Grouping AMC/HAAC/Sooner Conference Tournament. Matches will begin at 9 a.m. at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo.
