KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Announced by the NAIA Monday, 38 William Woods University fall sports student-athletes were named 2024 Daktronics Scholar-Athletes - 11 more than in 2023. The honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the fall sports who have excelled academically, and members of Owls men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, women's cross country and men's cross country received the honor.

Men's Soccer (12): Jacob Adams, Matthew Dworak, David Fink, Sam Gonzalez, Benjamin Lachaize, Alejo Marcaccini, Aiden Mowrey, Lubos Polacko, Wil Rieves, Pedro Salmon, Luis Pinto and Josh Seyer.

Women's Soccer (10): Hannah Loethen, Alex Nortrup, Macie Parmer, Sophia Poehlmann, Sam Poehlmann, Belle Boschert, Lexi Drbul, Aubrie Golus, Sierra Hahn and Zoe Hargis.

Volleyball (6): Erin Treis, Kennedy Flanner, Luciana Paiva Pereira, Lauren Adams, Rhakala Blackmon and Federica Borsero.

Women's Cross Country (6): Myra Baker, Emma Clifford, Hailey Gerard, Mekayla Gibson, Crystal Ruden and Kyah Weirich.

Men's Cross Country (3): Blaine Brodersen, Chais Paul and Chase Tennyson.

To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met those rigorous standards.
