Owls Ride Momentum To 7-0 Win Over Freed-Hardeman

FULTON, Mo. - Having surrendered a consolation match at the three doubles against Ottawa on Thursday, Andres De Los Rios Kolejewska and Felix Diedrichs roared to a quick win for William Woods (13-4) on Friday, powering the Owls to a 7-0 win over former AMC foe Freed-Hardeman (3-12) on Friday. The pair needed only 17 minutes to polish off Braden Young and Brayden Martin 6-1.

"These guys just keep growing and the trajectory of this team is one that breaks records at the moment," said head coach Chance Joost. "We have to keep this momentum going and I believe we will ride it right into the conference tournament."

Ben Grumley continued his solid run at the two singles line, downing Pablo Poleo Gonzalez 6-0, 6-1, with Vaclav Schneider following suit over Merlin Bolema 6-1, 6-4. Stepan Mach needed just shy of an hour to clinch the match win for Woods, picking up a 6-2, 6-0 win over Theo Devals at the four line.

Next up for the Owls is an AMC rematch against Missouri Baptist. Woods will celebrate Senior Day prior to next Wednesday's AMC contest.
