Owls Spirit "Owlin" in First Competition.

FULTON, Mo.- Owls Cheer and Dance 2025 Campaign is officially under way. The Woods traveled to Des Moines, Iowa, to partake in the Viking Challenge hosted by Grandview University on Sunday, Jan. 27. The Owls placed 4th on the cheer side and dance placed 11th.

"Today was a great opener to our season. We found out our strengths and weaknesses for each team-and are coming home with things to work on before we head to MoBap next weekend." said coach Snyder, "Our dance team made waves at our first ever competition and cheer worked hard to showcase the standards of our spirit programs. We were OWLIN today, and we are coming back stronger next weekend."

In their first ever competition, William Woods dance team scored 136.5 points, trailing 10th place College of Saint Mary by only 4 points.

After their third-place finish in the AMC/SAC championships last spring, Owl's cheer is looking to bring home some hardware for 2025. The Woods placed fourth out of nine teams, scoring 150.7 points, narrowly missing the top three.

Woods Spirit Programs are back in action next week, as they travel to Creve Couer, to participate in the Spartan Showcase at Missouri Baptist.
