KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The William Woods University men's golf team traveled to Kansas City for the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational, looking to continue its impressive start to the fall season.
After a challenging opening round, the Owls' A-Team stormed back on the final day to climb from third place and capture first place for the third consecutive tournament.
Leading the charge once again was Spencer Worley, who fired a 4-under-par final round to finish 2-under overall, claiming second place on the individual leaderboard. Elliot Auffret followed close behind, finishing the tournament at +5. The William Woods B-Team also impressed, earning a fourth-place finish, led by Victor Vella's strong performance.
The Owls will remain close to home for their next outing, competing in the Cougar Classic Fall Invitational in Columbia on October 20–21.
