With one season left to play, William Woods University, following the conclusion of winter sports, remains first in the American Midwest Conference Lowell Pitzer men's standings, now solely holds second in the Presidents Cup Trophy overall leaderboard and is still third in the Valerie Beeson women's table, announced the conference Friday.

"Our winter athletic programs did a tremendous job of building off the success of the fall," William Woods Interim Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Casey Wieder said. "We have found ourselves in the hunt to bring home the Presidents Cup Trophy for the first time since 2015-16."

For the Lowell Pitzer table, the Owls have 177½ points, 27½ ahead of second-place Columbia College. WWU added 102½ points to its tally among its three men's winter sports teams in the AMC: 47½ points from basketball (won the AMC regular season and tournament championships), 40 from indoor track and field and 15 from wrestling.

In the Presidents Cup, William Woods solidified its second-place position with 395 points, Missouri Baptist University dropped to third with 377½ and Columbia held onto first place with 410. The Owls added 205 points from winter sports, the Spartans 185 and the Cougars 220.

The top three for the Valerie Beeson standings remain the same: William Woods is in third with 202½ points, Missouri Baptist is second with 232½ and Columbia is first with 255. Tacking on 87½ points from winter sports, the Owls scored 45 in indoor track and field, 32½ in basketball and 10 in dance.
