ST. LOUIS - Throwing three gems last week, William Woods University's
Sarah Randermann earned the American Midwest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week nod, announced the conference Monday. Missouri Baptist University's Camryn Kessler, softball player of the week, was paired with Randermann as an AMC softball player of the week selection for Week 9 (March 24-30).
A committee of athletic communications professionals selected the weekly award winners throughout the conference from a pool of nominees submitted by each school.
Going 2-1 on the week, Randermann recorded 26 strikeouts with a 0.00 ERA in 25 innings of work. After tossing a one-hit complete-game shutout victory at Culver-Stockton College Tuesday, the senior from Columbus, Texas, punched out 10 in 11 innings against Williams Baptist University Friday and in seven innings on her Senior Day versus Crowley's Ridge College Saturday.
