Box Score 2 ARLINGTON, Texas - After a rain delay, No. 20 William Woods University (2-6, 1-0 Heart of America Athletic Conference) finished play in the TXWES Steve Foster Invitational Sunday at Arlington Tennis Center, losing a close match 4-2 to (RV) Our Lady of the Lake University (6-7) before sweeping host, Heart opponent Texas Wesleyan University (5-4, 0-1 Heart)Â 4-0.
"The girls dug deep today; it was a tight match against OLLU," William Woods tennis coach
Abigail Lemberger Hughes said. "My girls picked up some vital points at one and six singles, showing we are right there with the best. Sadly, it didn't go our way, and we lost 4-2, but it was a step in the right direction. I was then proud of them for coming out against Texas Wesleyan with a ton of energy. At this point, it had been a long day, and fatigue was setting in, but the girls stepped up and secured a 4-0 win. I'm proud of the progress we are making throughout the season."
