ST. LOUIS - William Woods University earned its third American Midwest Conference Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week accolade this season as Demario Wright received the honor, announced the conference Monday. Making it an Owls' sweep of the AMC men's outdoor track and field athletes of the week for Week 7 (April 21-27), Tanner Gillaspy received field athlete of the week.

A committee of athletic communications professionals selected the weekly award winners throughout the conference from a pool of nominees submitted by each school.

Wright, a sophomore from Jefferson City, competed in the Viking Classic and took home the gold in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.9 seconds and finished third in the 200 with a time of 22.44.
