LOUISVILLE, Ky. - William Woods University's softball team had a stellar year in the classroom, with 20 Owls earning Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors, five more than a season ago. Each of WWU's honorees showcased exemplary effort inside the classroom as they achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5. 

Woods also did well as a team, receiving NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete Team honors and ranking 14th in the NAIA in team GPA with a 3.601 mark. The Owls were one of 15 programs to have a GPA of at least 3.600.

These rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the association, including the NAIA, NCAA and NJCAA.
