FULTON, Mo. – William Woods (2-17, 2-12 Heart) fell at home to a tough Central Methodist team (14-7, 9-4 Heart) 78-43.
The Owls would come out stagnant on offense, scoring only 6 points, while Central Methodist used this to gain separation from the Owls. Despite matching their scoring efforts in the second quarter, the Owls would head into the break down 34-17 with an uphill climb ahead.
Out of the break, the Owls would match the Eagles for much of the second half, but just couldn't close that gap from the first quarter. With the Eagles pouring it on in the fourth quarter, the Owls would fall to Central Methodist 78-43.
Mya Pflasterer led the Owls with 13 points and 8 rebounds, while
Megan Hughes put up 10 points off the bench for the Owls.
William Woods is back in Anderson Arena for a match-up with Graceland for a 2:00 p.m. tip.
