COLUMBIA, Mo.- #20 William Woods women's tennis matched up against NCAA DI opponent Morgan State University for the first time Thursday morning at the Green Tennis Complex in Columbia. The Owls were swept 7-0 in the contest, competing across the board.
The Bears took the doubles point with wins in #1 and #3 with the Owls taking the #2 doubles with Kristina Dimitrijevic and Zara Littlejohn winning their match 6-4.
Having taken the doubles point from the Owls, Morgan State proceeded to a clean sweep on the singles side as well. The only set won for The Woods was from freshman Elise Vandewiele who knocked off her opponent in the second set, before falling short in three.
Woods returns March 1st at Drury University in Springfield, Mo., to take on the NCAA DII program.
