PARKVILLE, Mo. - William Woods Men's Golf participated in the Park University Invitiational over the past two days. The tournament, which consisted of five other Heart conference members, spanned three rounds of golf, after which the Owls' A-Team stood at the front of the pack, earning a massive victory.
The winning squad, consisting of
Spencer Worley,
Tim Falk,
Eliott Auffret,
Joseph McCandless, and
Oliver Hienonen, shot a combined score of 845, 9 strokes better than the next closes team. The scores of each round were 280, 281, and 284.
Worley led the charge for the Woods, shooting a combined score of 206, tied for the best in the pool. In the playoff for individual finishes, the senior extended his hot play with a victory, earning the 12th individual tournament title of his career. Falk followed close behind Worley with a combined score of 211, and Auffret behind him with 213. McCandless and Hienonen rounded out the group at 219 and 223. The A-Team has earned their 4th tournament victory of the spring, continuing their dominant stretch.
The B-Team had an exceptional pair of days as well, finishing 4th overall. The group, made up of
Job Damen,
Victor Vella,
Nikolas Tieves,
Arthur Calmelet, and
Euan Hardie, shot a team score of 876. Damen led the squad with a 216.
William Woods Men's Golf is back in action for one final regular season tournament at the Missouri Valley Invitational on April 20th and 21st.Â
