Overland Park, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Week 1 Men's and Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the 2026 season, with William Woods' Francesco Dibra and Bella Dehner earning the weekly honors for the Owls.

Offensive Player of the Week – Francesco Dibra, William Woods

William Woods sophomore Francesco Dibra earned Heart Offensive Player of the Week honors after helping lead the Owls to a pair of victories. Dibra recorded two goals and two assists for six points across the two matches as William Woods outscored its opponents 9-1.

Dibra opened the week with a goal and two assists in a 5-1 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange before adding another goal in a 4-0 win over St. Mary-Woods. He finished the week with four shots, placing three on goal.
 

Defensive Player of the Week – Bella Dehner, William Woods

William Woods freshman goalkeeper Bella Dehner earned Heart Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting back-to-back shutouts in a pair of victories for the Owls. Dehner played all 180 minutes in goal without allowing a goal as William Woods went 2-0 on the week.

Dehner opened the week with a clean sheet in a 9-0 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange before recording four saves in a 4-0 win over St. Mary-Woods. She finished the week with a 0.00 goals-against average and a 1.000 save percentage.
