FULTON, Mo.—Owls soccer sweep WWU Student-Athlete of the Month honors with Heart Offensive Player of the Week Francesco Dibra and standout grad student Tess Roberts earning the awards.
Dibra, a sophomore midfielder from Sassocorvaro Auditore, Italy, has had a stellar start to the 2026 season. Dibra amassed six total points, adding two assists with his two goals to lead The Woods in their consecutive wins over Hannibal-LaGrange and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Roberts, an attacking grad student from O'Fallon, Mo., has added eight total points to the WWU stat sheet. She found the back of the net in all three matches the Owls have played, adding an assist against Hannibal-LaGrange and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She boasts a .800 SOG%, forcing opposing keepers to stay active between the posts.
William Woods University Student-Athlete of the Month Honors are awarded to the student-athletes who received the most votes. Each month, athletes are nominated by faculty, staff and school personnel. These nominees are placed into the voting system and are selected based on the results of a panel of seven senior members of the athletic department.
