FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team looks to snap its two game skid on senior day, as No. 24-ranked Grand View University pays a visit for a 2:00 p.m. first serve Saturday afternoon.

The Owls (22-12; 9-2 AMC), are coming off a 3-1 () deficit to the No. 2-ranked Missouri Baptist University earlier this week. In the match, WWU totaled 34 kills as a team and were led by
Stephanie Davis's team-high nine kills with an attack percentage of .412.
Emily Becker and Tori Wiley each contributed seven kills a piece, while
Lauren Rodewald chipped in six.Â
Brittney Engelbrecht ended the night handing out 27 assists, while
Shelby Hinshaw led the team defensively with eight digs.

Prior to the game, the team will honor its six seniors, which includes
Emily Becker,
Rachel Frabotta, Mckenna Hisel,
Cierra Merz,
Lauren Rodewald, and
Kendra Vernatti.

Becker, a Belleville, Illinois native, has had a standout career as an Owl, the senior is currently the all-time leader in kills, with 1,670 . She broke the record earlier this season at the Mid-America Nazarene University Tournament, where she surpassed the totaled of fellow teammate
Kristen Bauer (2011-2014) of 1,295. In addition, she holds the school record in kills per set with 3.14 and total attacks with 4,353.

The middle blocker, has also set her self a part from other players, as she has become the first Owl to have over 1,000 kills and digs, as to date, she has impressively gathered 1,219 digs in her four years.

To add to her decorated campaign here at WWU, Becker has set a new career-high with 13 double-double performances in her senior year, while being a three-time All-AMC first team selection, earned NAIA All-Region first team honors and last season was named to her first ever NAIA All-American honorable mention team.

This season, Becker has been the spearhead for the Owls, leading the team with 390 kills, which is third in the AMC and ranks her 25
th in NAIA. She sits second on the team in attack percentage with .274 and blocks with 85, while collecting 329 digs on the year, which is third best on the team.

Frabotta, a right side hitter from Sterling Heights, Michigan has been a go to person offensively this season for the Owls, as she has set new career-high marks with 131 kills, an attack percentage of .124 and 34 blocks on the year. In her four years in an Owl jersey, Frabotta has totaled 183 kills, while last season she was awarded the A.O Duer Award by the AMC, selected to her second straight Academic All-AMC team and earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors.

Hisel, a Forney, Texas native, has had to sit out her last year, due to a season ending injury last spring. The defensive specialist has collected 600 digs in her career. Her best season with William Woods came during her sophomore season, where she set career-high marks in kills (four), assist (29), serving aces (45) and digs (309).

Merz, a junior college transfer, came to WWU from Moorpark College, where she has posted 205 kills in 145 games for the Owls. The Oxnard, California native, is ending her career on a strong note, setting new career-highs in kills (127), attack percentage (.142), and digs (60).

Rodewald, has had an impressive campaign at WWU, as the O'Fallon, Missouri native, has complied 611 kills in her 338 games played. This season has been best season for the outside hitter, as she ranks third on the team with 259 kills, earning an attack percentage of .220 and recording 66 digs. Rodewald also, has been a two-time Academic All-AMC team honoree.

Lastly, to round out the 2015 seniors is Kendra Vernatii, who has played an impactful role coming off the bench for the volleyball team. The Spokane, Missouri native has played in 40 games in two seasons for the Owls, totaling 45 digs as a defensive specialist. This season, she has tallied a career-high 43 digs and three assists.

The non-conference foe and No.24-ranked Grand View University enters Saturday's  game with a 20-12 overall record, as the Vikings have an 8-2 record in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

This match-up will be just the fourth time these two teams have squared off, as GVU holds a 2-1 advantage over the Owls. However, Saturday WWU, will look to change that and capture the upset inside Anderson Arena.

On the season, the Vikings have amassed 1,432 kills on the year, leading the way is Taylor Wells with her 336 kills and .217 attack percentage. Two other offensive threats for Grand View the Owls will have to keep an eye on is Heather Poula and Kelsey Redmond, who have recorded 247 and 213 kills on the year, respectively.

Chrissy Daggett and Katie Roberts have shared the setting responsibilities for the Vikings, as the duo have surpassed the 500 mark on the year and have combined for a total of 1,077 assists on the season. Meanwhile, defensively, Kelly Nakandake paces the way with a team-high 287 digs.
