Volleyball Hosts Lindenwood-Belleville in Key AMC Match

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University Volleyball team hosts Lindenwood-Belleville in a key American Midwest Conference (AMC) game on Tuesday, October 4, at Anderson Arena. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls enter Tuesday's match with the Lynx with the 15-8 overall record and a 5-0 AMC Conference record. WWU have won its last four matches.
- Junior Brittney Engelbrecht has dished out a team-high 832 assists on the season. With her total of 832, Engelbrecht sits fifth nationally on the season. For her career, Engelbrecht has dished out 3,488 assists, which is 18 assists away from tying for the second most assists all-time at WWU. Earlier this season, Engelbrecht recorded her 1,000 career dig as an Owl
- Stephanie Davis continues to climb up in the stat categories as she moved up to second all-time for career block assists. She sits 24 block assists away from tying for the career lead. She is also, 108 kills away from 1,000 for her career and 63 blocks away from tying the career mark at WWU
- William Woods sits ninth in the nation in digs on the season. The Owls have recorded 1,579 digs
- The Owls also rank in the top 20 in several categories including: 13th in kills (1079), 16th in assists (979), and 19th in digs per set (18.150).
- Leading the Owls defense is freshman, Jessica Jensen. Jensen ranks tenth in the NAIA in digs with 435 this season. She is averaging 5.0 digs per set on the season. She recorded a season-high 50 digs against Illinois Wesleyan on September 9th.
