Box Score ROME, Ga. – The William Woods University women's tennis team closed out the 2017 ITA Oracle Cup on Saturday as Zlata Shuraeva finished in seventh place and the Owls double team of Chelsea Steward and Shureava finished fourth.

In the singles draw, Shuraeva and Elizabeth Bauss matched up in the seventh-place match. Shuraeva won the first set 6-1. Bauss answered right back taking the second set over Shuraeva, 6-2, forcing a third set. In the third set, the Owls Shuraeva came out with a 7-5 victory finishing in seventh place.
 
After winning the seventh-place match, Shuraeva teamed team Chelsea Steward in the third/fourth place doubles match. They were facing third seed Gligic and Peric of Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders came out on top in both sets, 7-5, 6-3, and the Owls finished in fourth place.
