NAIA National Championship
- The 37th annual NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship, presented by Wells Fargo will be held at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark in Billings, Mont. March 15-21

About the Owls
- WWU collected its first win, since March 13, 2013 in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship, on Thursday when they knocked-out top seed in the Liston Bracket, Shawnee State
- With the win, the Owls improved to 21-11 on the season
- Entering the second round, William Woods is the highest scoring team in the national championship. The Owls are averaging 88 points per game after one game of the national championship

Jasmine Brown leads the Owls as she is averaging 14.8 points per game. She scored 24 points, to lead the Owls, to the victory over Shawnee State in the First Round

About the Golden Eagles
- John Brown University enters the contest with the Owls with a 23-8 record. The Golden Eagles advanced to the second round of the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship by defeated Benedictine, 74-72
- The Golden Eagles are making its fifth appearance in the national championship and after the victory tonight, they hold a 4-4 overall record in the event
- Leading the attack for John Brown is Baily Cameron. Cameron is averaging 17.4 points per game on 52.7 percent shooting
- As a team, the Golden Eagles are averaging 75.5 points per game and are shooting 44.8 percent from the floor. They are holding opponents to 61.9 points per game and 37.9 percent shooting from the floor on the season
- Opponents are struggling to hit the outside shot against the Golden Eagles, as they are only allowing opponents to shoot, 27.6 percent from behind the arc

Winner Moves On
The winner of the Owls and Golden Eagles contest will advance to the quarterfinals, which will take place on Saturday, March 18. They will play the winner of the Montana State – Northern and Vanguard (Calif.)
