Box Score OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The William Woods University women's tennis team defeated Missouri Baptist University, 5-1, to advance to the championship match of the Heart of American/American Midwest Conference Tournament.
The Owls will play second seed, Missouri Valley at 12 p.m. tomorrow at the Genesis Health Club in Lawrence, Kan. The winner of the WWU and Missouri Valley contest will earn an automatic berth into the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship.
The Owls and Spartans started with singles action. WWU clinched the match in singles winning five of the singles matches. The Owls won No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles on the day to win the match. Full singles results can be found below:
