Women’s Basketball to Host No. 4 Columbia College

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team is set to host No. 4 Columbia College for their third American Midwest Conference game of the season. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.

About No. 4 Columbia
Columbia is currently tied for first in the AMC with Freed-Hardeman. Columbia is 7-0 on the season with a 3-0 conference mark.

Most recently, the Cougars defeated Harris-Stowe State University in a home contest Tuesday evening, 77-69. Mai Nienhueser recorded a double-double while three more posted 14+ points.

The Cougars have three top shooters in their starting lineup. Morgan Brandt leads the Cougars scoring efforts with 92 points and rebounding with 56. The majority of her scoring has come inside the paint. Jordan Alford and Ashlee Marlatt are the ones to watch out for at the arc. Alford has a .516 shooting percentage in the field and at the three-point line with over half her points coming from the arc.

Most recently, the Owls played NCAA Division I Western Illinois University in an exhibition contest. The Owls lost, but Peyton Greenlee led the way with 29 points and a 78.6 shooting percentage. She also drained six three-pointers. As a team, the Owls shot 49.2 percent from the field, 51.9 percent from beyond the arc.
