FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team continues its six game home stand on Monday and Tuesday when they host the Eutectics of St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Monday and Evangel University on Tuesday.

Home Stand
The Owls are in the middle of its six game home stand. The Owls have won its first two games of the six game home stand. Five of the six games are AMC contests.

About the Eutectics
St. Louis College of Pharmacy enters the contest against the Owls with a 6-15 overall record and a 2-3 record in the AMC. The Eutectics are coming off a 3-1 (25-12, 25-14, 15-25, 25-17) win over Harris-Stowe State University.

Cassady Reno leads a trio of Eutectics with over 100 kills. Reno leads the team with the 161 kills on the season. Mackenzie Wagner follows with 126 kills on the season. Kacie Kinnikin leads the team with 313 assists.

As a team, the Eutectics have an attack percentage of .092 on the season and are averaging 9.17 kills per game. They have recorded 92 blocks on the season and have recorded 88 service aces on the 2018 season.

All-Time vs. Pharmacy
The Owls have faced the Eutectics five other times in program history and the Owls are 5-0 against Pharmacy. The first matchup came during the 2006 season when the Owls won 3-0.

Last season, the Owls defeated the Eutectics 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-19) on Oct. 4th. The win last year was the 14th in a row for the Owls. In the matchup last season, the Owls had an attack percentage of .225 for the contest. They also recorded 14 blocks

About the Crusaders
The Crusaders of Evangel University enter the Week with a record of 13-12 and have dropped its last two contests. The last win for Evangel was on Sept. 25th when they defeated MidAmerica Nazarene 3-1 (25-22, 12-25, 25-16, 25-19). Tuesday's game against the Owls will be the fourth straight game played on the road.

Heather Gahm leads the Crusaders with 368 kills on the season, which leads the NAIA. She is one of two players for Evangel to have over 250 kills. Bridget Petersen is the other and she has 255 kills on the season. Victoria Fishback leads the Crusaders with 864 assists on the season, which is second best in the NAIA. Jordan Stacey is fifth in the nation with 453 digs on the season.

Not only do the Crusaders have players ranked in the top five but as a team, Evangel ranks first in assists (1151), first in kills (1239), second in digs (1687) and ninth in service aces (153) in the NAIA.

All-Time vs. Evangel
The Owls and Crusaders matchup on Tuesday will be the 44th meeting all-time between these two programs. Out of the previous 43 meetings the Owls are 27-16 against Evangel. The first meeting between these two schools came in 1974, the first year the Owls had a volleyball program.

Last Time vs. Evangel
The Owls and Crusaders met during the 2016 season, when they met twice. WWU and Evangel played at Anderson Arena on Aug. 25th where the Crusaders came away with a 3-0 victory. The Owls rebounded and won 3-2 on Nov. 1st at Evangel.

WWU enters its first two matches this week with a 13-7 record and are 5-0 in the AMC. WWU is currently on a nine-match winning streak. The Owls won its first two games of its six-game home stand with wins over Williams Baptist and Freed-Hardeman.

WWU is one of four teams who have not dropped an AMC contest this season. The three other teams who have not lost an AMC contest are Missouri Baptist (6-0), Park (5-0) and Columbia (5-0). The Owls play Columbia College on Oct. 9th at Anderson Arena.

This season, the Owls have played six matches at Anderson Arena. The Owls are 5-1 and have won its last five matches at Anderson Arena. Over the five-match winning streak at Anderson Arena, the Owls have only dropped three sets. Monday will mark the Owls third straight game at Anderson Arena.
