Owls Look for Fifth Straight Win Saturday Against Stephens

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team hosts Stephens College on Saturday, Jan. 19. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Anderson Arena.

About Stephens 
The Stars enter the contest 3-15 overall and 1-11 in AMC play. The Stars' conference win came over St. Louis College of Pharmacy in early January.
 
Leading the way for the Stars is Mariah Brisco. She is currently sitting with 185 points while averaging 10.9 per game.
 
Following right behind Brisco is Makenzie Jemes with 176. She is also leading the team in rebounds with 118.
 
Coming back to the court at semester, returning All-Conference player Chalee Britt is quickly making an impact on the team. She is currently averaging 11 rebounds and 10.1 points per game in her seven games played this season.
 
About William Woods
WWU enters the contest 12-6 overall and 8-4 in the AMC. They are 4-5 in road games and still undefeated at home.
 
Their last time out, they defeated Park 74-70. The victory put Head Coach Dan Chapla two wins away from becoming the winningest coach in WWU program history.
 
Also setting her place in WWU athletics history is junior Peyton Greenlee. She is currently 17 points away from reaching 1,000 career points and is leading William Woods with 14.1 points per game.
 
Following Greenlee is Kaycee Gerald. Her 12.4ppg puts her second on the team in scoring. She currently holds three national rankings; 42nd overall in the nation in total assists (59), 45th overall in total steals (37) and 49th overall in assists per game (3.2).
 
Against Stephens
Earlier this season, the Owls defeated the Stars 78-30 at their place. All 15 players saw action and recorded a stat in the conference win.
