FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Basketball returns to action Saturday, Nov. 16
, as they take on NCAA DIII Greenville University. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
About Greenville
The Panthers enter the 2019-20 season coming of a 23-5 overall finish in the prior season. Their 2018-19 season came to an end on Mar. 1, 2019 when they fell 85-53 to George Fox in the opening round of the NCAA DIII Tournament.
They come into the contest sitting 1-2 overall. Greenville lost their season opener on Friday, Nov. 8, to Milikin University, 81-74. They went on to lose their next contest 90-85 to Illinois College on Nov. 9. After dropping the first two games, the Panthers defeated St. Mary-Woods 91-75 on Nov. 14.
Emily Reinneck currently leads GU scoring 13.7ppg. She is shooting 39% from the field and 46% from 3-point territory.
Clarissa Duebel and Madelyn Stephen follow closely behind both averaging 12ppg. Stephens is currently shooting 52% from the field and 17% from the three.
As for Duebel, she's shooting 46% from the field and 75% from the three-point line.
About William Woods
The Owls enter the contest 4-0 on the season. Their last time out they captured an 82-71 overtime win over Culver-Stockton on Nov. 13.
