Owls Look for Fourth Straight Home Win in Final Regular Season Home Game


FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods women's basketball team is set to host Hannibal-LaGrange at Anderson Arena on Thursday, February 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The Owls will look for their fourth straight home win versus the Trojans.
 
About Hannibal-LaGrange
The Trojans are 3-25 overall, with a 1-21 conference record ranking last in the AMC. The Trojans have a losing streak of 16, their last win was against Stephens College in mid-December, 75-61.
 
Kylee Elmore and Emma Anderson of Hannibal-LaGrange both average 14.5 points per game for the Trojans. Elmore is also the team's leading assister with 51, and has the highest free-throw percentage (0.781). Anderson shows her dominance on the defensive end, averaging 8.4 rebounds per game.

Seven of the eight teams in the AMC Tournament have been set. The race for regular season champions is still in progress between No. 1 Columbia and No. 2 Freed-Hardeman. The seven teams already earning a tournament berth are No. 1 Columbia, No. 2 Freed-Hardeman, No. 17 Lyon, RV William Woods, Lindenwood-Belleville, Williams Baptist and Central Baptist. The eighth and final spot is between Harris-Stowe and Park.
