Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team defeated William Jewell College 8-1 for their third consecutive win. The Owls are now 3-3 on the season and 3-0 against NAIA opponents.

The Owls swept WJC in the doubles play, grabbing three easy wins. Chelsea Steward and Felicia Cesar in the No. 3 doubles finished first, winning 8-1. Finishing second in the No. 2 doubles was Julia Perez Wienese and Paige Smith, defeating their opponent 8-2. Zlata Shuraeva and Ana Zavala defeated their opponent 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles. 
 
Julia Perez Wienese in the No. 2 singles, Felicia Cesar in the No. 3 singles and Karyna Sagalai in the No. 4 singles all had a 6-0 victory in their match wins. Paige Smith swept her opponent in the No. 5 singles, 8-0. In the No. 1 singles, Zlata Shuraeva won 6-3, 6-2.
 
The Owls travel to New Orleans, La. on Friday, March 22, for a match against No. 3 Xavier (La.) The Owls then face No. 9 William Carey for a neutral match on Saturday.
