Box Score ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The No. 7 William Woods women's tennis team defeated Lindenwood University 7-0 Tuesday afternoon to give the Owls an overall record of 4-5 on the season.

The Owls swept the Lions in both singles and doubles. In doubles play, the duo of Chelsea Steward and Felicia Cesar finished first in the No. 2 spot, winning 6-0. Zlata Shuraeva and Karyna Sagalai recorded a 6-1 victory in the No. 1 spot.
 
In singles action, Felicia Cesar had no trouble obtaining a win in the No. 3 spot, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Zlata Shuraeva followed with a victory in the No. 1 spot winning 6-1, 6-3. In the No. 4 spot, Chelsea Steward secured a win against her opponent 6-2, 6-1. Karyna Sagalai picked up another win in the No. 5 spot with a 6-2, 6-0 victory. In the No. 2 spot, Julia Perez Wienese battled out a 5-7, 6-3, 11-9 victory. By default, Paige Smith ended up with a win in the No. 6 spot.
 
The Owls travel to Topeka, Kan., Wednesday, March 27, to face McPherson College at 11 a.m.
