Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. – The No.7 William Woods women's tennis team earned another victory on the road Wednesday afternoon against McPherson College, 8-1. The Owls improve to 5-5 on the season.
 
McPherson dropped both a doubles match and a singles match by default, which put the Owls up 2-0 to start the match. Zlata Shuraeva and Karyna Sagalai gave William Woods their first victory defeating the Bulldogs 8-2. Chelsea Steward and Felicia Cesar battled out a 9-8 (10-8) victory to give the Owls a 4-0 lead going into singles play. 
 
To clinch the match, Felicia Cesar breezed by with a 6-0, 6-1 singles victory in the No. 3 spot. To follow, Chelsea Steward also came up with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the No. 4 spot. Julia Perez claimed a 6-3, 6-7, 10-4 win in the No. 2 spot. Asami Terajima played in the No. 5 slot and obtained a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
 
The Owls return to action Saturday, March 30, for a home match against Kansas Wesleyan at 10 a.m.
