ST. LOUIS, Mo. –The William Woods University men's distance runners competed at the 2019 Washington University Distance Carnival Friday afternoon.
Ten competed in the 5000-meter and 10,000-meter runs.
Eight competed in the 5000-meter run.
Ben Farrell paced the Owls, finishing in 15:54.14 for a 90
th place finish out of 219.
Jackson Conner came in second for the Owls with a 15:56.54 race time, placing 97
th.
Cole Koch placed 127
th with a 16:16.54 time.
Tyler Bossing crossed the finish line in 16:46.86, earning a 164
th place finish.
Hunter Carpenter (17:03.33),
Matt Fringer (17:11.72), Charlie Shattgen (17:14.89) and
Alex Bossing (17:41.66) rounded out the Owls.
The Ogden brothers, Nathaniel and Schuyler, were the two runners in the 10,000-meter run.
Nathaniel Ogden placed 42
nd with a 32:27.39 race time. His time puts him fourth in the WWU record book.
Schuyler Ogden finished in 33:21.97, placing 62
nd overall.
