FAYETTE, Mo. - Men's and Women's Track and Field traveled down the road to Central Methodist University for CMU's spring invite over the weekend. The William Woods record books will have new names at the front, as five school records were set at the meet.

Michael Moore-Fondren burst out of the gates in the men's 100 meter dash, setting a new standard at 10.72 and finishing 12th overall. Anna Hart brought home an individual gold medal in the women's 5K Race walk, setting a PR and school record with a time of 26:53.85, earning her an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships. Jacob Fuhriman is the new holder of the men's 100 meter hurdle with a PR of 15.21 for a 10th place finish. Jaxon Engelbrecht one-upped himself by breaking his own record in the men's 400 meter hurdle with a time of 55.35 and a 10th place finish. The men's 4x100 team, comprised of Noah Phillips, Michael Moore-Fondren, Jaxon Engelbrecht, and Brennen Stinson, set a new school record with a time of 42.49, placing 9th overall.

"We had an amazing weekend at the CMU invite with 5 school records being broken," Coach Polacek said about the meet. "Anna Hart, Jaxon Engelbrecht, Jacob Fuhriman, Michael Moore-Fondren and the Men's 4x100 relay all broke school records this meet. Anna Hart continued right where she let off from Indoor Nationals hitting Nationals A-Standard.  It was a fantastic weekend with multiple personal records being broken. We are headed in the right direction as we slowly approach conference time."
