Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team grabbed their sixth and seventh straight wins Wednesday. The Owls defeated Lindenwood-Belleville 8-1 to start the day and followed with a 4-0 sweep over NCAA Division II McKendree University. The Owls improve to 10-5 on the season.
 
The Owls return to action Sunday, April 14, to face RV Missouri Valley College at 10:30 a.m. 

Women's Tennis vs. Lindenwood-Belleville
WWU grabbed three default wins before the match even began in the No. 3 doubles, No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles because LUB did not have enough players. 
 
Paige Smith and Karyna Sagalai grabbed the second doubles win in the No. 1 spot, 8-1. 
 
In singles play, Felicia Cesar and Sagalai swept their opponents in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, 6-0, 6-0. Paige Smith allowed just one point in the No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1. In the No. 4 spot, Asami Terajima duked it out for a 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 win.
Women's Tennis vs. McKendree
The Bearcats only had a roster of four players, giving William Woods an automatic 2-0 lead. In Division II, the first team to get to four points gets the win. Starting with singles, Felicia Cesar gave the Owls their first earned win in the No. 3 spot, 6-0, 6-2. To clinch the match, Ana Zavala claimed a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the No. 2 spot.
