Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The No. 6 women's tennis team took care of business on senior day, sweeping Missouri Baptist, 9-0. The senior class includes
Chelsea Steward,
Felicia Cesar,
Karyna Sagalai and
Paige Smith. This select group of seniors started the William Woods women's tennis program in 2015, and have won eighty percent of their team's matches over the course of four years. The Owls extend their win streak to nine and improve to 12-5 on the year with today's win.

William Woods went 3-0 going into singles play.
Zlata Shuraeva and
Ana Zavala grabbed an 8-1 win in the No. 1 spot. In the No. 2 spot,
Julia Perez Wienese and
Karyna Sagalai shut out their opponents with an 8-0 victory. The duo of
Chelsea Steward and
Felicia Cesar also dominated with an 8-0 defeat in the No. 3 spot.
In singles action,
Chelsea Steward claimed an easy 6-0, 6-0 victory in the No. 4 spot.
Felicia Cesar clinched the match only giving up one game, 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 spot. In the No. 1 spot, Zlata Shuravea downed her opponent with an 8-1 win.
Paige Smith earned a 2-6, 6-4, 10-5 victory in the No. 6 spot. In the No. 5 spot,
Karyna Sagalai defeated her opponent 8-3.
Julia Perez Wienese fought for a 7-5, 6-4 win in the No. 2 spot.
The Owls closes out their regular season on Tuesday, April 15, at Missouri Valley.
