FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Tennis opens the first round of the AMC/HAAC Tournament Friday, April 26^th. The Owls were seeded No. 1 overall in the tournament and will face No. 8 Lindenwood-Belleville in the opening round. The match is set for 11 a.m. at Webster Grover Tennis Court.

About Lindenwood-Belleville
The Lynx have had an unfortunate season. They enter the tournament 0-12 on the season. In their final match they fell 5-4 to St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The match against the Eutectics was their closest match all year.
 
At the 2017-2018 AMC/HAAC Tournament, Lindenwood-Belleville was put out in the opening round when they fell to Missouri Valley 5-0.
 
About William Woods
WWU enters the contest 13-5 overall and 4-0 in the American Midwest Conference. The Owls have been undefeated since Mar. 23^rd when they fell 5-4 to No. 9 William Carey. Since then they have won their last 10 competitions defeating No. 4 Lindsey Wilson, RV Marian University and No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan.
 
Last season the Owls advanced to the NAIA National Championship. Unfortunately, they fell in the quarterfinals to Georgia Gwinnett College 5-0. William Woods looks to return to the national championships this season.
