Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team advances to the AMC/HAAC Championship match following two 5-0 sweeps in the first two rounds. The Owls swept Lindenwood University-Belleville 5-0 in the first round and Baker University 5-0 in the second round.

The tournament games were played to clinch, so the first team to five points won the match. 

The Owls will play RV Missouri Valley College in the championship game at Tower Grove Park starting at 3 p.m.

The Owls held a 3-0 advantage before play even began as they won a doubles and two singles points with LUB's forfeits. 

Zlata Shuraeva and Ana Zavala in the No. 1 doubles grabbed an 8-3 win over their opponent for the fourth point, and Paige Smith and Kati Honigman in the No. 2 dobules won the clinching point, 9-7.

The Owls possessed a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Chelsea Steward and Cesar swept their opponents in the No. 3 doubles, 8-0. Shuraeva and Zavala defeated their opponent in the No. 1 doubles, 8-1, and Perez Wienese and Sagalai won 8-5 in the No. 2 doubles.

Cesar in the No. 3 singles and Sagalai in the No. 5 singles finished their matches first to clinch the match with two 6-0, 6-0 sweeps.
