Box Score MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team came back in singles play to defeat No. 11 Lindsey Wilson in the second round of the NAIA National Championships, 5-3. The Owls will face No. 3 Xavier (La.) in the quarterfinals round on Thursday, May 16, at 1 p.m.
The Owls were at a 2-1 disadvantage at the end of doubles play.

Chelsea Steward won the only doubles point for the Owls in the No. 3 doubles, 8-4.
In singles, Steward won the first singles point in the No. 5 singles to even the score at 2-2. She won the first set 6-0 and was up 1-0 before the match was retired.
Karyna Sagalai took the leading point with her 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 6 spot, but LWU evened the score again with a win in the No. 2 singles.
The Owls went on to win the final two points in the No. 3 and No. 4. Cesar won 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot, and
Ana Zavala won 6-3, 7-5 in the No. 4 spot.
