Box Score FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University captures their second straight home win of the season Tuesday night as they defeated Baker University 3-1 (25-13, 25-20, 26-28, 25-23).
Ally Konarzewski led the Owls with 14 kills in the contest.
Hannah Kuehl followed closely behind with 12 kills of her own, while
Nise Salima recorded 9 kills.
Jaclyn Zahn had 8 while
Kate Doerhoff had 8.

Game Flow
William Woods got off to an early 8-2 lead. Baker's Garcia was able to slow things down as she recorded an ace which sparked a 3-0 run putting them behind 8-6. The Owls responded with a Remi Johnson kill but the Wildcats quickly responded with a kill of their own.
With Baker picking up momentum, WWU's Johnson was able to find Konarzewski for a kill that sparked a 7-0 run.
Baker attempted to stop the Owls momentum by scoring two straight points, but it would not be enough as they would make another 7-2 run.
Up 23-11, William Woods needed to capitalize in the final plays of the game. They allowed two Wildcat kills before finally ending the game 25-13.
After a slow start in game one, Baker responded by getting a 7-4 advantage over the Owls. They would continue to keep their lead until a Johnson kill tied the game at 12-12.
Both teams traded points up until Salima and Zahn blocked a Wildcat attack and gave the Owls a 19-17 lead. But Baker refused to disappear; a quick kill from Milroy put them back in striking distance.
William Woods went on a 2-0 run making the score 22-20. Baker made one last attempt, but two Konarzewski kills, and an error would give the Owls a 2-0 match lead.
Down two sets the Wildcats began to click. They led majority of the set until a Konarzewski kill tied the game 20-20.
Both teams were point for point making it hard to gain the lead. It was not until a Garcia kill and an error would give Baker their first win of the night.
In the final set of the night, William Woods found their groove. They got out to a quick 4-0 lead. Baker responded to the WWU run by scoring four straight points themselves.
Both team continued making small runs but the Wildcats could not gain a lead.
With the score 23-18, Baker decided to give one last push and found themselves behing 24-22, but it would be Konarzewski who assisted by Johnson made the final kill and ended the match.
William Woods would win the contest 3-1.
