KANSAS CITY, Mo. — While in the midst of an 8-0 run, the William Woods University women's basketball team received votes in the fourth NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced the national office Wednesday.
The Owls are currently on an eight-game winning streak including a win over then No. 9 Freed-Hardeman. Seven of the eight wins are against conference opponents. The Owls sit tied in fourth place in the American Midwest Conference with a 10-4 mark. Overall, they are 16-4 with a perfect 8-0 record in Anderson Arena.
The Owls host No. 15 Columbia College on Thursday, Jan. 30. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. Without sophomore forward
Kasey Hazell in the last outing, the Owls fell to then No. 13 Columbia 71-54.
