Box Score PARKVILLE, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team topped Park University to end their seven-game road stretch Tuesday evening, 69-63. With the win, the Owls improve to 10-4 on the season with a 5-4 conference mark.
Kaycee Gerald posted her fifth double-double of the season; she led the game with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
The Owls return home to host No. 9 Freed-Hardeman University on Thursday, Jan. 9. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.

Game Flow
The Owls scored first to get on the board just over a minute in. With an old school three-point play from
Kaycee Gerald and a short jumper from
Carleigh Jenkins, the Owls took an eight-point lead with 6:47 left in the first quarter, 12-4.
Park answered with a 10-0 run over the next three minutes to have their first lead of the game, 14-12.
Gerald went 2-for-2 from the foul line with 2:47 on the clock to even the score, and free throws from
Jazlyn Drake and
Rylie Cox put the Owls back in the lead, 17-14. Park drained both of their free throws towards the end of the quarter to send the game into the second with the Owls up by one, 17-16.
Park jumped out to a five-point lead just under two minutes into the second quarter, 24-19.
Back-to-back buckets from Gerald brought the game within one with 6:10 on the clock, but Park pushed back a five-point lead.
With five straight points coming from Cox, the Owls were able to even the score, and with 1:20 to play in the half,
Peyton Greenlee drained a three to take the lead, 33-30.
Drake hit a short jumper to send the Owls into halftime trailing by one, 36-35.
After Park pushed a five-point lead to start the second half, the Owls powered an 8-0 run with six points coming from Gerald to take a three-point lead with 5:56 on the clock, 45-42.
Park scored on back-to-back buckets to take the lead again, but Gerald once again scored to even the score with 3:33 to play.
Ashleigh Frampton scored on a put-back to give the Owls the lead, and Gerald went 2-for-2 from the foul line to give the Owls a four-point lead heading into the final quarter, 51-47.
Cox put the Owls up by six to start the fourth, but Park quickly put the game within one.
Back-to-back jumpers by Drake put the Owls up by five with 6:12 to play.
Park brought the game within two three times in the final minutes of play, but each time the Owls pushed back ahead. With 26 seconds on the clock, Park sat within two.
Resorting to fouling to stop the clock, Park send Gerald to the line. She went 1-for-2 to put the Owls up by three, 66-63.
With the ball in the Owls' hands,
Kasey Hazell made a two-point bucket with two seconds on the clock. Fouled on the play, she sealed the six-point win with her free throw, 69-63.
