SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The William Woods University men's golf team finished the two-day Evangel Spring Invitational in second place out of seven teams. After leading day one, Kirkwood Community College jumped into first place after shooting just 10 over par on day two. 

The Owls shot a 626 on the two days, cutting back on day two by six strokes for a 310. Kirkwood CC shot a 621.

Tom Doran moved into second place after shooting one over par on day two. He finished with a 150, coming in just one stroke behind first place. He shot one under on the back nine with two birdies and one bogey. On the front nine, he finished with a birdie, five pars and three bogeys. 

Logan Smith shot six over on day two for a 78, finishing the Invitational in third place with a 153. He finished the front nine with six pars and three bogeys. On the back nine, he shot one birdie, six pars and two double bogeys. 

Philipp Heller shot five over on day two for a 77. He remained tied for sixth place with a 155. He finished round two with three birdies, seven pars and eight bogeys.

Aaron Patel shot an 80 on day two, dropping him from first place to sixth. Jakub Dymecki, also playing as an individual, moved from 19th place to eighth with a 73 round two score. He finished the two-day Invitational with a 157.

Maxime Faure shot an 82 on day two, placing 21sdt with a 167. He finished with two birdies, seven pars, six bogeys and three double bogeys. 

Trey Hamilton shot an 83 on day two to remain in 22nd place. He finished the Invitational with a 168. He shot a birdie on par five on hole 10 and had nine pars, four bogeys and four double bogeys. 

Grant Mach placed 42nd with a 189. He shot a 96 on day two.
